You do not need to be a member to submit a proposal but you will usually need to register to attend the conference, and this will require membership of BSECS of one of its sister eighteenth-century societies. You will be sent an invitation to register for the conference when registration opens in September.
The deadline for submission of papers and panel proposals is Thursday 30th September 2010. You will be notified by Sunday 31st October as to whether your proposal has been accepted.
If you are travelling from outside the UK and need an earlier decision, please mention this in your proposal and we shall endeavour to reach a decision earlier.
